I hope that January has been treating you well so far!
This is the time of year that we are making our resolutions (and possibly breaking them too!), some achievable and some, not so much. Resolutions can be so difficult to keep and that could be because we set the bar way too high for ourselves.
Personally, I try not to make resolutions because I never stick to them. Instead, I try to change my mindset and set smaller goals for myself in different aspects in my life. Rather than give up chips for a year, I will try to make healthier choices when eating. (Eating for me is touch and go because I love chips. Just writing about them is making me hungry for them!)
One of my goals is to make more time for myself. I set this one every year and I fail at it
, a LOT. I also want more time to sit and read. I want to spend more time with my family and loved ones. I want to make time to DO MORE YOGA
! I spend a lot of time as a teacher every week but I do not make any time to be a student. Yikes!! And lastly, I want to be a better version of me than I was in 2016.
These are my goals for 2017. What are yours?
No matter what it is you desire to achieve and no matter how many times you feel as though you've lost sight on your desires and goals, remember, you are always right where you need to be. Keep moving forward and you'll continually be making progress.
